The AI concept is a critical tool for organizational development. It is regarded so because it has acquired attention as the successive application to enhance business change.  AI is a way of inquiring into, evaluating and then, setting up the best of operations in the company to create a healthy future for the organization. Positive inquiry looks at managerial issues, challenges, and concerns in a significantly different way (Kathy, 2004). Instead of focusing on troubles, organizational members first find out what is working predominantly well in their organization. Then, as a substitute of analyzing probable causes and resolutions, they foresee the strengths and what the company aspires to do. Here participants engage in a dialog relating to what is needed, regarding of both tasks and capital, to bring about the preferred future. Finally, association members implement their desired changes. A common underlying assumption of problem-solving is that businesses are best run by identifying as well as removing their deficits (Kathy, 2004). Conversely, appreciative inquiry affirms that the company improves more efficiently through discovery and valuing, predicting, discussing and creating the future.

Additionally, the AI helps the administration to set proper foundation that is essential for the organizational development. Appreciative inquiry is quite better compared to problem approach that is only based on finding out the answer to the existing dilemma only at that particular time (Kathy, 2004). This concept is directly linked to the behavioral approach. The appreciative inquiry also gives space to people who are in that particular firm to take advantage of their positive experiences to get the best result of it. In other words, participants of this concept spend most of the time to relate their personal experiences of success and achievements in the business thus working to evaluate proper elements of those adventures. This way, they come up with statements citing proper methods of operation so that those experiences will work in the organization. Workers are also given space to make a good result out of the positive approach that is now mostly used by the organizations (Kathy, 2004). Since the appreciative inquiry takes its focus on the positive aspects and bases on the participants’ actual adventures, this motivates them to find out the good ways to improve the state of the business.

On the other hand, behavioral concept concerns understanding, describing, predicting as well as controlling the human behavior in the enterprise. The purpose of this is to construct a stable base for the organizational activities so as to realize the best results of its operations (Kathy, 2004). The common areas that are majorly focused on are how an individual can relate to others in groups to produce or generate reliable outcomes. The concept also evaluates how management is exercised, how the company functions, and how changes can affect in the organizational settings.  These are the basics that are used to determine the current operations in an organization. They also act as the mirror that reflects the future of the business. To evaluate the ongoing activities in the company precisely, one is expected to act and behave in a positive manner.  The positive behaviors in an organization are directly connected to the firm’s culture or operations (Karl & Quinn, 1999). These activities include the strategic ways of business operating to achieve its mission as indicated.

Currently, the company is structured appropriately with a flat organizational structure. The firm operates with a few employees and very few management levels and many decisions take place very quickly due to such structure. The company is doing well, and its employees have the right skills. However, there are some hindrances to achieving the company’s goals as some obstacles exist on the way to the employees’ satisfaction. I spite of the current status of employees, who lack motivation, the market recognizes the company as one of the best law firms.

 

The current operations of the business aim at making positive approach a sign of progress in its daily activities. The entrepreneurial culture is commonly tied to the enterprise’s vision, values, rules, symbol and system, way of life, assumptions, and habits among others (Karl & Quinn, 1999). It is also the prototype of such cooperative behaviors and hypothesizes that are taught to new organizational constituents as a way of perceiving, and even thoughts and feeling. Organizational background affects the means people and groups interrelate with each other, with clients, and with stakeholders (Karl & Quinn, 1999). The current operations of the business include employee motivation, finding out gaps in the company, creating more opportunities, development of strategic plans to maximize output, plus creating enabling environment for business operations.

The organization is currently working to motivate its workers the best way possible. This task is one of the essential things to be carried out in the business. Employee motivation is important as it makes a worker work at the highest standard thus boosting the company’s performance (Karl & Quinn, 1999). This is mostly done by increasing the salary of the employees, implementation of favorable policies, creation of the proper relationship between worker to worker and employer to worker. Most of the companies are currently at peak trying to ensure that their employees are stimulated to work at their highest level. This employee motivation will make them capable of achieving the vision (Karl & Quinn, 1999).

Determination of faults in the business is another current operation that is widely spread across all the firms (Kathy, 2004). Every company has found it essential to evaluate the weaknesses so that they lie at the point of making corrections and boosting their business performance. Currently, each organization finds looking at areas with gaps helpful. The company can then analyze the problem and come out with a consistent solution that will result in business progression towards its vision and mission (Kathy, 2004). Differences such as few workers, low-quality goods leading to loss of market, continued loss making among others are mostly identified, and solutions are being given to them to boost the business’s operations. The company is creating more organized business, and that is why it is venturing on the gaps (Kathy, 2004). By doing so, the company can get a space to move towards the set objectives.

Today’s business activities are based on making the business environment more accommodating to enhance the company’s production. The primary reason for the enterprise to make the environment enabling is to push aside other firms from dominating hence outdoing the operations of the business (Kathy, 2004). The current process is based on improving the following so as to facilitate business continuity. These areas are reduction of influence of other related companies, synchronizing the external and internal environment among other current operations that are aimed at enabling the environment. Allowing for environment enables the company to run smoothly as it will stand in the position of overcoming all the other factors either internal or external that affect the company’s progress.

Additionally, the company is currently evaluating ways that are favorable to widen and improving the market. Market being the primary concern of a society, and, therefore, a business has to create proper strategic measures to expand and even improve its market (Karl & Quinn, 1999). In general, these current business operations are the primary determinants of the company’s fault. They are also used to expose those areas of business that are not doing well. In addition, strategic measures will propose the possible actions that can generate a long lasting remedy for the calamity that currently exists in the business.

In today’s community, it has been observed that competition is getting steeper and steeper. Considering the restrictions over the limited resources, the organization needs to make various changes that will boost its operations. For instance, due to globalization and technological evolution, the company requires making adjustments in order to cope with these changes. This change is regarded as important as these are the main features that determine the business’s survival in the competition with the other firms. The significant changes that the organization is supposed to make so that it suits to the competitive world include strategic changes plus technological changes (Kathy, 2004).

Strategic changes involve the body changing its general operational tactic so that it can suit its specifications as stipulated in the company’s mission. Such approach helps the business to achieve the goals. The company can also change its mission statement so that it can satisfy the desires of the external surrounding of the enterprise. Strategic changes involve modifications of primary business approach, the target market, and the type of the commodities sold. The company also changes the procedures used to sell its goods, the general tactic orientation, and the extent of its global activities (Karl & Quinn, 1999). Additionally, the joint business arrangements as well as the partnerships that the organization is involved in also undergo a change. Strategic changes take place in various ways. They include the structural, process-orientated and people-centered modifications (Karl & Quinn, 1999).

Structural changes include the collective changing of the organizational order of authority, structural features, goals, administrative methods as well as management system. Almost all transformations in how business is managed fall under the class of structural modification. Similarly, process-oriented changes involve the organization reassembling process in order to achieve maximum workforce and also improve its productivity (Karl & Quinn, 1999). Process‐oriented transformations are often connected to an organization's creation process or how the business assembles yield or delivery services.

Another essential change that the company is to make to ensure its survival is that the enterprise should cope with civilizations that are bringing about globalization. In order to ensure the business to operate and compete with other firms globally, it is supposed to upgrade its operational technology (Karl & Quinn, 1999). In today’s world, the advancement in technology has lead to businesses operating globally. A firm that wants to operate in this environment has to make various technological changes.

Another important reason for the technology update is that the company needs to make its operations easier. Additionally, the company requires minimizing of expenditures and increasing its output.  Modern technology, if well exploited, is relatively faster and accurate in production (Kathy, 2004). Due to the market competition imposed by other related companies, the best quality of products that will ensure the market domination is  required. This necessity becomes an important reason that gives space for technological reforms. Another essential reason for technology improvements is that new technologies make the production economical as it not only requires a small amount of manpower but also produces more goods and services over a short period.

The particular things to be accomplished and the time frame include employee motivation that will take place throughout the entire lifetime of the company without timeframe. Another item is to change the company’s culture, which will occur within the time frame of 12 months. Thirdly, the company will change its general operation strategies within 12 months. Last, the company will need to embrace the new technology and incorporate it into its daily operations within a period of one year.
